In the new movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” Natalie Portman surprised as Mighty Thor for his transformation, but this is not the only new superhero that introduced the fourth installment of the god of thunder in the MCU.

The film’s plot pits Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Jane Foster and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) on a mission to stop Gor (Christian Bale) and his God Slaughter.

Because the gods allowed his daughter to die, Gorr’s plan involves kidnapping the children of New Asgard, using them as bait, luring Thor, stealing Stormbreaker’s ax, and accessing Eternity to make a wish to wipe out all the gods.

During the plot, two characters are introduced in the film and their future hints that they will be an important part of the MCU and perhaps members of a team consisting of young Avengers.

New Avengers introduced by ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Among the kidnapped children of Asgard and the one who helps Thor track them down is Astrid/Axl Heimdalson (Kieron L. Dyer), the son of Heimdal (Idris Elba) the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge and who died in “Avengers: Infinity War ยป.

Axl displays leadership, the ability to summon Bifrost with Stormbreaker, as well as the same powers as his father, infinite eyesight and excellent hearing, manifested when his eyes turn gold.

At the end of the movie you can even see that Lady Sif is training Axl because he has a natural talent for fighting, so combined with his eye powers and Asgardian physiology make him a very strong character.

The other character is Love (India Rose Hemsworth), Gorr’s daughter, who dies at the beginning of the film, but the villain wishes before Eternity to revive and leave her in charge of Thor so that she will always be loved.

Love is now in Thor’s care as his adopted daughter, with the Stormbreaker as her weapon and learning how to use her new cosmic powers to become a hero.

So, these two characters in the future could join the other young heroes of the MCU and form the Young Avengers in the face of the disappearance of the famous superheroes or in some event that they need all the possible help.

Who will make up the Young Avengers in the MCU?

These two characters join the young heirs of the MCU’s heroes, such as Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow, Cassie Lang, the daughter of Ant-Man, and Morgan Stark, the daughter of Iron Man.

Other new characters who debuted in MCU Phase Four and could be part of the team include America
Chavez, Billy (Wiccan) and Tommy (Speed) who appeared in ‘Doctor Stange: In the multiverse of Madness’.

There’s also Elijah Bradley as Patriot from “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Kid Loki, the version of the god of deception from the Disney+ series. except for Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Stanfield in the ‘Hawkeye’ series.

Similarly, recent ones include Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) from her own series ‘Ms. Marvel and Rori Williams (Dominique Thorne) as Ironheart who will appear in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” this 2022 and his own series next year.

All of them could be led or joined by Spider-Man, the most experienced young Avenger the MCU has, who after the events of his third film maintains his secret identity and status as one of the Avengers.
