Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Older brother episode aired on Wednesday 13 July. Read at your own risk!
Older brother made headlines in the last few days after live viewers talked about the treatment given to guests and the micro-aggressions targeted towards healthy tailors. Spoiler live revealed that Michele Bruner won the veto and that the season first head of the family, Daniel Durston , he called Taylor instead. As such, there was an obvious interest in how the episode would represent the events of the last days. Unfortunately, many were disappointed with what they saw for a variety of reasons.
The episode showed some of the highlights and moments that ultimately led to Taylor’s isolation from the rest of the house, but some key contexts were omitted. A long time Older brother The Hamsterwatch expert was not impressed with the change and felt it wasn’t enough to respond to the multiple articles written about Taylor’s mistreatment:
this edition does not explain to the general public why there were so many articles this week on Taylor’s # bb24 treatmentJuly 14, 2022
Older brotherThe last episode essentially framed much of the tension between Taylor and House stemming from an incident with eagle dove (to which some viewers accused of treason ). Paloma told Taylor that she wanted to chase the boys and when Taylor passed that information on to monte sarto, he chose to believe that Taylor was lying to him. For those who saw the episode, it looked like Taylor’s mistreatment started there. In fact, it started days earlier, on the opening night. At best, the montage of the episode seemed almost a misunderstanding, which fans did not appreciate:
So @CBSBigBrother chose to ignore the bad press he received this week about Taylor Hale’s abuse at home. Instead, they modify it in an unfair way that obscures the situation. Typical. # BB24July 14, 2022
While the episode didn’t show every moment fans would have wanted to see, Older brother left at least one pivotal moment that he spoke for himself and accounted for Taylor’s isolation. Paloma and others in the house encouraged Taylor to dress up in a dress she made for the end and show it to everyone. After doing what they asked, they later rejected her decision. The episode omitted the Houseguests who publicly criticized Taylor, but included segments from Paloma’s diary room and jasmine davis be very critical of him. The scene infuriated Josh Martinez, one of the most memorable winners and I didn’t like the way they installed Taylor:
They really promoted and gassed Taylor, then they hated # bb24July 14, 2022
However, there have been other times when the Older brother the episode modification did not seem representative of why the events happened. One scene where Taylor was crying over confusion over his treatment and wondering what he had done wrong almost seemed to react as he walked up the block and viewers didn’t appreciate it:
CBS, Taylor didn’t cry to go to the operating room, and you know that. # BB24July 14, 2022
It is not clear whether or not Older brother intentionally misrepresented the situation or simply altered the episode and failed to put it all together. In all cases, Paramount + subscribers those who have seen the shows are spreading the word and sharing clips of what really happened to test guests who believe they are responsible for Taylor’s treatment. winner of season 8 fucking donated He explained the situation very clearly:
Wow, the producers / editors are making Paloma the victim of this whole situation with Taylor. # BB24 Twitter will lose its collective spiritJuly 14, 2022
