With Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther, Orphan 2 hits theaters this September
Diamond Films has released the first trailer for The Orphan 2 (2022), sequel to the horror story that haunted audiences in the early 2000s. Isabelle Fuhrman returns to the role of estherwhich he performed for the first time at age 12 in 2009.
The actress previously revealed that no special effects were needed to make her look the same as a child as in the first film. “I know how we did it. I know all the tricks and I’m completely distraught, because somehow, I’m nine years old again, it doesn’t make any sense,” she told the The Hollywood Reporter.
In sequence, Julia Stiles and Rossif Sutherland play a couple who recover their daughter, esther, after four years away from her. The girl seems happy to be reunited with her family, until she starts showing strange behavior and makes her parents suspect if she really is their lost daughter.
“Unfortunately, all these rumors are true! I really don’t know what to think or say about it, it hasn’t sunk in yet. I hope the esther come out and clear up all these rumors going around,” reads the official synopsis (via Omelet).
with direction of William Brent Bellthe film also has Hiro Kanagawa and Matthew Finlan in the cast. The Orphan 2 arrives in Brazilian cinemas on September 15, 2022.
