HPI: Does the American remake work as well as the French version? We have the answer

HPI crosses borders! After a great success in France, the United States decided to adapt the series and offer a new version. If the high potential from its English title didn’t convince us at all, know that American audiences flocked to their small screens.

The series pilot, which aired on ABC on September 17, attracted no fewer than 3.6 million viewers. Exceptional audience rate, especially among the 18-49 year old target! This is the highest number for a drama series since the 2020 launch of TV show Big Sky on the US network.

But that’s not all, because High Potential is setting real records when you consider its multi-platform distribution on Hulu, Disney+ or even repeat platforms.

High Potential entered Hulu’s Top 15

Even better, it broke into Hulu’s top 15 and even held the top spot for three days in a row. The icing on the cake, during its first run, it also had the luxury of being the most watched series of its time.

It actually beat out reruns of Password and FBI: Most Wanted, both at 10 p.m. A success that resonates with HPI in France.

Caitlin Olson and Daniel Sunjata reprise their roles as Morgan and Karadek

With Caitlin Olson and Danielle Sunjata both struggling to take on the roles of Morgan and Karadek, the series looks to be well on its way to building a genuine fan base across the Atlantic. It remains to be seen whether the fantasy that gives all the charm to our favorite fiction will finally show up in the American version.

While you wait to see what happens, you can catch new episodes of HPI Season 4 every Thursday from 9:10pm on TF1. The American version should arrive in France on the Disney+ platform in the coming months.
