what are you talking about
An incredible relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi.
who is he with
Pay attention to the nostalgia of the 2000s series, you will see two famous faces. On one side is Kristen Bell, of Veronica Mars fame and voicing Gossip Girl, and on the other is Adam Brody, known for playing Seth Cohen in Newport Beach.
They’ve obviously come a long way since Kristen Bell starred in The Good Place, The Woman Who Lived in the Girl in the Window, Bad Moms, and even Frozen. On the other hand, Adam Brody starred in the films Anatomy of a Divorce, Jennifer’s Body, Scream 4, Promising Young Woman, A Nightmare of Marriage and Shazam!.
The rest of the cast is also great, as we meet Justin Loop (Legacy), Timothy Simmons (Veep), Sherry Cola (Good Trouble), Jackie Ton (GLOW), Emily Arluck (Grown-ish), and even D’Arcy Carden (good place).
is it worth watching
We couldn’t have asked for a better romantic duo than Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in Nobody Wants This. If the nostalgic touch works perfectly for those who grew up with Veronica Mars and Newport Beach, it must also be said that the chemistry between the two actors is undeniable.
We want to believe in their love story and above all we want the two lovers to be able to live it peacefully. Because as the title says, “Nobody wants that.”And the relatives of the two heroes do not want to continue their relationship.
It must be said that on paper Joan and Noah don’t have much in common. The former is an agnostic podcaster recounting his dating and sexual experiences with his sister Morgan, while the latter is a progressive rabbi, newly separated from his fiancĂ©e, who hopes to be promoted at his temple.
A charming and spicy little nugget
And yet, magic works between the two as their chemistry is undeniable despite their cultural differences and their opposing views on life. The strength lies primarily in the real chemistry between Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, but also in the brilliant writing of these passionate, funny, relatable characters who are adept at self-deprecation, openness, and communication.

For good reason, screenwriter Erin Foster was partly inspired by her own experience, as she converted to Judaism when she got married. With just the right dose of wry humor, but also with sincerity, Erin Foster manages to convey the awkwardness of an atypical couple, faced with norms, conventions, and especially authoritarian or dysfunctional families.
The 30-minute format allows this romantic comedy to keep pace, and we’re excited to follow this complex but exciting novel, characterized by spicy and sassy dialogues, moments of pleasant lightness, but also deep sequences that can also convey a more universal experience.
In short, Nobody Wants This is a nice little treat to watch this fall. This funny and exciting fiction, which we hope after 10 delicious episodes of season 2, is a pleasant surprise that knows how to warm hearts and that promises beautiful pieces of humor and love.
The series “Nobody Wants This” is available on Netflix.
