Kokoriko! It will be a continuation of one of the successful French comedies from the beginning of the year! Cocorico, which brought together the tandem of Christian Clavier and Didier Bourdon for the first time, attracted almost 2 million viewers.
The news was announced at the Film Publishers Congress held in Deauville this week and attended by AlloCiné. Filming period and release date are not yet known.
The sequel is expected!
This continuation is not entirely surprising, as the success has allowed the team to continue the ideas, as we mentioned earlier this year in an article in Le Parisien published in February.

Admittedly, Kokoriko’s final scene suggests that anything is possible… the ending is completely open-ended and even ends on a cliffhanger of sorts, as the series would say.
“When I wrote the second version of the script, Christian Clavier gave me this advice: when in doubt, do an open ending. He is a professional!“, director and screenwriter Julien Hervé explained to Le Parisien.It’s not for me to decide, primarily for the community, but we’ve left it open.”

We remind you that according to Le Parisien, the first part of the film may lead to a theatrical adaptation in the form of a closed session. This part is really reminiscent of the plot of First Name, with suspense that swirls and a lot of humor.

A comedy like What We Did to the Good Lord? (which had two sequels), this film fully plays on contrasts and opposite social origins. We follow Alice (Chloe Couloux) and Francois (Julien Pestel) who, on the verge of marriage, decide to unite their two families.
For this occasion, they have an original gift for parents: DNA tests so that everyone can discover the origin of their ancestors. But the surprise turns into a fiasco when the large aristocratic family the Bouvier-Sauvages and the much more modest Martins discover the results are, to say the least… unexpected!
