It was one of the most anticipated series of the fall and it has finally landed on the MAX platform. Fans of Batman and the DC Comics universe are treated to a Batman spin-off directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz.

Two years after the feature film, the universe expands with a spin-off series centered around the character of Oswald Cobb, aka The Penguin, played by Colin Farrell. The 8-episode fiction, simply titled Penguin, follows the character’s rise through Gotham’s criminal underworld and sits somewhere between The Sopranos and Marvel’s Daredevil.

And we can say that the first episode, published on the Internet on September 20, has already won the public, if we believe the numerous comments on AlloCiné.

“It smells like a nugget”

So far, members of the AlloCiné community have given The Penguin series an average rating of 4 out of 5 based on the first episode. Thus, for Vader Mir (3.5/5): “Colin Farrell is great, the makeup of his character is incredible. The atmosphere is neat.”
