Peaky Blinders the Movie: Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby) has a new look!

Ranked as one of the top 10 series of all time by AlloCiné viewers with a rating of 4.5 out of 5, Peaky Blinders ended at the end of its sixth season in 2022. But that doesn’t mean Thomas Shelby’s adventure is over.

Indeed, creator Stephen Knight will continue the story of the famous character, played by Cillian Murphy, in the currently untitled Peaky Blinders movie, which is officially in development for Netflix.

So far, we have little information about the Peaky Blinders movie, other than that it’s written by Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper (Agent Stone). We don’t yet know if any former members of the original cast will return for this conclusion.

But Netflix has revealed some very good names in the casting, such as Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible, Dune), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Batman, Banshees of Inishrein) and Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Funny Games USA, Little Odessa).

Production continues as the streaming service has officially announced the start of Peaky Blinders filming, with the first visual of Thomas Shelby in this latest installment. And we can tell he’s aged a bit since we see some gray hair.

“At the behest of Peaky Blinders…Tommy Shelby is back. Cillian Murphy and Stephen Knight reunite on set as production on Netflix’s next movie officially begins.”

In a Netflix press release, Cillian Murphy shared his enthusiasm for this new Peaky Blinders project: “It looks like Tommy Shelby isn’t done with me. It’s great to be working again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. It’s an experience for the fans.”.

And that’s not all, because there are still two spin-off series projects: one in Boston in the middle of the 20th century, a few decades after the original series, and the other about Polly Gray’s youth, the matriarch. of the Shelby clan, played by the late Helen McCrory, who died in 2021. We’re still waiting for news on these two spin-offs.

All six seasons of “Peaky Blinders” are available on Netflix.
