It is not uncommon in television series for directors to use actual photographs of child actors to serve their plots. And it is not Les Frères Scott who can say the opposite.
The first season of the cult series focused on the rivalry between Nathan (James Lafferty) and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray), two half-brothers driven apart by everything. A conflicted relationship, exacerbated by their father Dan (Paul Johansson), who chose to raise the former and shamelessly abandon the latter.
But as the episodes progress, viewers gradually discover that this character, who is introduced as the Scott brothers, is actually hiding a lot of secrets. The decision not to have a place in Lucas’s life was, in fact, not entirely his.
Dan sinks into his memories
In Season 1 Episode 19, Lucas and Brooke (Sophia Bush) find themselves in the same situation as Karen and Danny were 16 years ago. A young woman actually thinks she is pregnant.
A situation that then prompts Lucas to discuss with his father to try to understand the choices he could have made all those years ago.
At the end of the episode, Danny is lost in his memories. Viewers then discover that she has a box in her office that contains many photos and cards that Nathan gave her, but not only that…
Actual photo of Chad Michael Murray
Also in this box is a childhood photo of Lucas. What you may not know is that this photo is actually an actual shot of Chad Michael Murray when he was in high school.
That’s why the outfit he’s wearing isn’t a basketball outfit, as we might expect, but an American football player outfit. Chad Michael Murray actually played this sport when he was a kid.
He even aspired to continue his career in this field. Unfortunately, an injury at the age of 15 prevented him from fulfilling his dream. A disappointment that allowed him to start an acting career.
Catch The Scott Brothers Monday through Friday from 12:05pm on TFX. All 9 seasons are also available in their entirety on Prime Video and HBO Max.
