“I saw Tammi’s letter and I felt something. I received thousands of letters, but I put it aside. I had a feeling and wrote back. Tammi and I continued to write to each other. I loved writing to her. It was slow. The friendship was special to me because I wasn’t involved with the trial or the media, Tammi was someone who wasn’t in the middle of the madness.

In fact, Tammi revealed the details of her relationship with Erik in the book “They Said We’d Never Make It: My Life with Erik Menendez” a few years after their union and they continue as a couple, regardless of whether they are behind the bars.
