He wished the voters of Sao Paulo a calm day, without the aggression that characterized this year’s electoral race.

Nunes voted together with his wife, Regina Nunes, and the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). The mayor of São Paulo arrived at the school around 9.55am and was received by supporters and the press.

“I hope that we can have a very peaceful day, that we can have today an election day that is very different from the episodes of the electoral race, a period of aggression, attacks, lies and fake news. I think that today the population will take to the streets and will be able to take it with peace of mind their decision”, began the current head of the Executive of São Paulo.

Nunes is sure to advance to the second round. “Tomorrow we will begin a new phase.” “A new stage that will demonstrate, through the results of the polls, that, even if some radicals end up enjoying the noise, the absolute majority of our city rejects the attacks and lies. So much so that the rejection of the other candidate is very high” , spoke to journalists, without directly naming the opponents.

“I wish you journalists a good job and we will meet later to celebrate the passage to the round of 16. Then, at the end of the month, to celebrate the victory”, Nunes predicted.

It will follow the vote of governor Tarcísio de Freitas at the Colégio Miguel de Cervantes, in Vila Progredior, in addition to the votes of Tomás Covas, son of the former mayor of São Paulo, Bruno Covas, of which Nunes was a deputy until his death in May 2021 Tomás was at the school where Nunes voted and showed support for the re-election candidate.

The current mayor of São Paulo will also follow the vote for Coronel Melo Araujo, candidate for deputy mayor together with the emedebista, and his Queen Nunes.
