Batman: Stop for 1 hour and 3 minutes and take a good look at the hood of this car

Batman is the latest Gotham superhero feature to hit theaters. No more Ben Affleck or Christian Bale under the mask, as now it is Robert Pattinson who has the heavy burden of portraying the nicknamed “Dark Knight”.

Batman (Robert Pattinson)

Director Matt Reeves (Planet of the Apes and Supremacy) is at the helm of this first adventure of this version of Batman, which also features The Penguin (the unknown Colin Farrell and who now has his own series), She-Woman (Zoe Kravitz) or Riddler / Riddler (Paul Dano).

Moreover, this last villain is at the center of the scene that interests us today: a moment of pure tension, offered by Matt Reeves, and whose detail, at first glance, is not very obvious, reveals the terrible Riddler’s playful love. And all this happens when the car is seen during the church scene.

Leave for 1 hour and 3 minutes

To remind you, during the funeral of Mary Mitchell, a car was sent at full speed towards the people who came to pay their respects. Bruce Wayne saves a kid who is being run over at the last minute and looks at a car stuck on the altar steps. And best of all, District Attorney Gil Coulson has a bomb strapped to his body and it will explode if the Riddler’s three puzzles aren’t solved.

The car has “DOA” paint marks. DA in English is the initials of District Attorney, Coulson’s profession, Riddler’s victim. But add “O” to the equation and you get DOA, short for “Dead On Arrival,” which medical staff use when a patient arrives at the hospital already dead. A way for Riddler to announce that he thinks Coulson is already dead is a play on words.

A true summary of his personality: between play and death.
