The fourth season of the Bridgerton series, which will be based on the third book in the series, “An Offer from a Gentleman,” will tell the story of Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. In this new phase, Benedict, known for his aversion to commitment, falls in love with Sophie Baek, a character who, unlike the other debutantes, faces difficulties linked to her origin and social position.
Sophie works as a maid, but dresses up as the “Silver Lady” at a masquerade ball, where she wins Benedict’s heart.

The character Sophie, played by Australian actress Yerin Ha, was adapted for the series with a new surname, in recognition of the actress’s Korean heritage. This change seeks to give greater representation to the character, maintaining the essence of the classic romance of the original story, but with a contemporary and inclusive approach.
Sophie Beckett is a character in the book series “The Bridgertons”, written by Julia Quinn, and appears in the novel “An Unforgettable Kiss” (book 4). She is the illegitimate daughter of an earl and, after her father’s death, she is forced to live as a servant by her cruel stepmother, in a story strongly inspired by the Cinderella fairy tale.
Sophie develops a relationship with Benedict Bridgerton, the second brother of the Bridgerton family. They meet at a masquerade ball, where Sophie introduces herself mysteriously, but must escape before her true identity is revealed. Their story revolves around romance, secrets and issues of social class.
The fourth season will also feature new characters and a diverse cast. The plot promises a balance between romance and realism, with social challenges that the protagonists will have to face as they fight for true love.
Recording of the next season has already begun but, according to producer Jess Brownell, it should not be presented before 2026. For now, fans should be satisfied with the final episodes of the third season, already available on Netflix.
