‘I’m Disappointed’: Tom Selleck Talks Post-Blue Bloods

In a few months, Blue Bloods is bowing out, fourteen years after its run on CBS. A huge success that never fails! That’s why fans were surprised to hear that the series will end next December.

The decision is also hard to swallow for the cast of CBS’ flagship TV show, and especially for Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan). A few weeks before the final episodes of Blue Bloods aired, the actor confided his frustrations to TV Insider:

“I’m a little disappointed.”

“I’m a little disappointed. I didn’t want to talk about the end of Blue Bloods during the filming of the last episodes, because the series is still very successful. We reached the ninth position in the top 2023-2024 if we count all viewers.”

“And if you take away the three nights where the football was in the spotlight, we’d be sixth. But I don’t want to be a grumpy old man telling people off my lawn. I don’t think you should hold a grudge.”

“However, if you go to a TV channel and say, ‘I’ve got a show for you that you can schedule in the worst slot and still be guaranteed to be the most watched channel at that moment – there for 15 years.’ He would have a hard time believing you, and yet…”

“Serials have always been considered”

“My disappointment mostly stems from the fact that the show has always been taken for granted because it did well in the first place. So how do I feel? I think it’s going to take some time to figure it all out.”

“I remember after the weekend of filming the last episode, I said, ‘I’ve got to go to bed early tonight because I’ve got my dialogue ready for Monday.’ So there was no next Monday because the show was canceled, it will take a while. Confidence that claims to be a star blue blood He wanted to continue for a long time.
