The Case of the Menendez Brothersa new documentary from Netflix, which addresses the case of Lyle and Erik Menendezresponsible for the murders of their own parents in the 1980s, is now available on the streaming platform and brings new revelations about the shocking crime.

The new feature features 20 hours of unpublished interviews with the brothers, who revisit the trial that sentenced them to prison in the 1990s. They also address details of the story and bring new revelations, such as the reluctance of Lyle Menendez in talking about the sexual abuse committed against his brothers by his own father, José Menendez.

In the documentary, it is revealed that Lyle wrote a 17-page letter to Erik talking about his desire to continue keeping family secrets: “THE Lyle he couldn’t express what he wrote in that letter in person. It was easier for him to put it on paper. He felt that telling the family’s sordid secrets would be like killing my parents again, and he didn’t want to do that.”explains Erik.
