Production was closed after low ratings on the platform
The comedy series Kaosfrom the Netflixstarring Jeff Goldblum like Zeus, was canceled after the premiere of its first season. The production, which premiered on August 29, 2024, did not achieve a large audience, despite spending four weeks in the top 10 of the platform, reaching third place in the second week, and therefore, was unable to guarantee a second season.

Kaos is a comedy of Greek mythology in a modern setting, with Jeff Goldblum playing an insecure and paranoid Zeus about losing his power, while trying to deal with other gods such as Hades (David Thewlis) and Poseidon (Cliff Curtis). The series also featured names like Janet McTeer like Hera and Nabhaan Rizwan like Dionysus.
Even though it reached third place in the ranking of most watched series in its second week of release, Kaos it only had around 5.9 million views, a number lower than expected by the platform. The reviews also did not help to boost the production, and some pointed out problems in the narrative and character development.
