Saudi Arabia is targeting a sports streaming service

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, run by Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s regime, is reportedly interested in acquiring a minority stake in DAZN, one of the world’s leading sports streaming services.

According to the report, negotiations between the Saudis and the streaming service have been ongoing since late last year, but are not at an advanced stage. This means that it is not possible to guarantee that there is actually an agreement between the parties, who have not officially expressed their opinion on the issue.

DAZN has held talks with at least three investment funds in recent months. The company is looking for strategic partnerships and hopes to obtain new resources to expand its services.

Recently, the platform acquired broadcast rights to the Six Kings Slam, a new elite tennis exhibition that will feature names like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. The wind will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later this month.
