Ayrton Senna’s death still leaves us sad today, but his legacy is much greater than any bad feelings. Our passion for Formula 1 is, in part, due to him. It also contains the victory theme song. Proud to be Brazilian. Overcoming and willpower. There are several elements that recall the three-time world champion with McLaren.
Senna was a giant even off the track. The pilot had a social conscience and, a few months after the accident in Imola, his family founded an institute that takes care of the new idol. The goal was to help the country reduce social inequalities through education. Today, according to information from the same NGO, the Ayrton Senna Institute has already impacted the lives of 37 million Brazilian children and young people.
These are just some of the stories linked to him, the best known. But there is still much to discover and learn. Or even get excited.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Senna’s passing, Audi, for example, just released a documentary showing how the driver played an important role in the German automaker’s arrival here in Brazil.

What Audi now proposes is for Brazilians to look for other similar curves in Brazil and share their findings on the brand’s Instagram.
The first example appears in the documentary itself. With the help of artificial intelligence, the automaker has identified a curve on a road in Santa Catarina that almost 100% mirrors the famous Formula 1 course.
It is located on the SC-110 highway, near the city of Urubici, near a place where there is a lookout point from which you can admire the panorama of the mountains.
To select the curves, their length, the angle and length of the straights and the direction in which the cars travel were taken into account.
