Netflix’s The Case of the Menendez Brothers brings new details about the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who killed their own parents in the 1980s
The Case of the Menendez Brothersa new documentary from Netflix, which addresses the case of Lyle and Erik Menendezresponsible for the murders of their own parents in the 1980s, is now available on the streaming platform.
The new feature features 20 hours of unpublished interviews with the brothers, who revisit the trial that sentenced them to prison in the 1990s. They also address details of the story and bring new revelations, such as the brothers’ reaction to the movement formed on TikTok to take them from prison, based on accusations of sexual abuse against their father, José Menendez.
“Younger followers, the TikTok generation, have tremendous hope. Kids have taken time to research what happened. They understand the issue in ways older people don’t. I feel more hope now that society seems to understand abuse better sexual”says Lyle.

“I’m not as desperate as I was when I was 21, that’s for sure. Obviously, I feel more hope when society seems to be better understanding these experiences and sexual abuse. So I have hope, and I also see a lot of people on parole who have life sentences, and they still go home and get parole because they’ve rehabilitated themselves, and I certainly feel like my brother and I have rehabilitated ourselves.”completed [via The Hollywood Reporter].
