Vera Viel was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare malignant tumor on her left thigh
Presenter Vera Viel, wife of presenter Rodrigo Faro, underwent surgery to remove a tumor this Friday 11th, a day before her birthday. The operation lasted about eight hours and was carried out at the Israeli Albert Einstein Hospital, in the capital of Sao Paulo.

Faro took to social media to share more details about the surgery and update his wife’s health status. “He’s fine,” he said shortly after the surgery ended.
“My Vera came back to me… After 8 hours of surgery. First battle won. For the honor and glory of Jesus. Thank you for the millions of prayers”, the presenter also wrote in another post on the his Instagram profile this Saturday, the 12th.
Vera was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare malignant tumor on her left thigh. After surgery to remove the tumor, he said he will continue with treatment.
The presenter, 49, was hospitalized last week. Through a post on social media, she explained her diagnosis to her followers: “I want to start by thanking God for showing us this disease at the beginning, using people who were like angels and my husband who insisted that I have an MRI. I have synovial sarcoma , a rare, malignant tumor on the left thigh.
Faro also opened up about the discovery of the malignant nodule. “May God protect us in this battle ahead of us. Everything God does is good. Everything God allows is necessary,” he said.
The presenter and Vera have been married for 21 years and are the parents of Clara, Helena and Maria.
