Appearing on film as two different actresses (Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander), adventurer Lara Croft returns – this time in an animated series – Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, now available on Netflix.
This new adaptation of the famous video game saga (almost 100 million copies sold worldwide) is inspired by the reboot trilogy that began in 2013 with the opus called Tomb Raider. In these three games, British actress Camilla Ludington (Grey’s Anatomy) voiced the famous heroine.
For the purposes of the Netflix series, another English actor was chosen to play her – due to the character’s British origins. Fans of the original version may have recognized the voice of Hayley Atwell, who is widely known for her role as Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Studios films and series.
