After L’amour ouf, Adele Exarchopoulos in a futuristic film presented at the closing of the Bordeaux festival

Last week at the Bordeaux Independent Film Festival (FIFIB), the French genre and women’s cinema took a special place.

After Noémie Merlant’s Les Femmes au balcon presented at the opening, a moment dedicated to Coralie Farji with the presentation of The Substance and Revenge, FIFIB closed with a French preview of a futuristic film with a very beautiful cast: Adele Exarchopoulos and Souheila. Yakub.

Planète B, as it’s called, is written and directed by Aud Léa Rapin. The field is presented as follows: France, 2039. One night, activists hunted by the state disappear without a trace. Among them is Julia Bombart. When he wakes up, he finds himself trapped in a completely unknown world: Planet B.

The feature film, which will be released in France on December 25, had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last September.

Earlier we will be able to see Adele Exarchopoulos in a completely different register, under the title L’amour ouf, with Francois Civil. L’amour ouf is out this Wednesday, October 16th.

Highly anticipated movies in preview

The festival participants were also offered many without competition: their children after them by Ludovic and Zoran Bucher, Miséricorde by Alain Guiraudier, Animale by Emma Benestani, Diamant Brut by Agathe Reidinger and Les Reines du Drama by Alexis Langlois. . The public responded to these sessions, which were often packed.

As usual, FIFIB was an opportunity to discover gems in previews, such as Camille Lugan’s Joy, Judith Davies’ Bonjour l’Asile, or even the short film Amelia Starlight by Laure Thomasaint and High Wave. by Camille Fleur.

FIFIB has the peculiarity of a contraband section dedicated to films without a distributor in France. A list of prizes can give a boost to some of these feature films or short films.
