Surveillance cameras in the community of Muzema, located in the West Zone of Rio, recorded the arrival of a group of men dressed in black in the early morning of this Saturday the 19th.

Recordings show around 30 people armed with rifles and pistols walking down the street, while some residents walk past the location.
Most of the men had their faces covered. Witnesses told Globo affiliate in the region that they were militiamen trying to regain control of the favela, currently dominated by the Vermelho Command.
Traders report that this group has invaded businesses to extort food from residents.
In a statement, the Military Police reported that the Muzema region is occupied and that the images are being analyzed by the company’s intelligence sector. A rifle, a shotgun, two handguns, 26 explosive devices and ammunition were seized in the community this week. So far there are no records of clashes.
