The STU PRO TOUR – RIO skateboarding tournament is already coming to an end, making the competition even fiercer. This Sunday (20th) the grand champion and leader of the competition ranking will be defined for each mode (Street and Park).

For the championship final of each category, 6 skaters will compete in two halves of 25 minutes each, with a technical break of 5 minutes per heat. Each score will be applied at the end of each round and whoever gets the highest and best score wins.

In the semi-final which took place this Saturday (19th), the athletes who qualified for the next phase of the category were awarded park they were Sky Brown, Arisa Trew, Yndiara Asp, Sakura Yosozumi and the Brazilians Raicca Ventura and Fernanda Tonissi. Already in style street they were the athletes Miyuu Ito, Daniela Terol, Chloe Covell, Pamela Rosa and the 3 Brazilians Rayssa Leal (“Fadinha”), Pamela Rosa and Isabelly Avila.

For the male athletes the ranking has not yet been released because the heat was postponed due to rain. Skateboarder Luigi Cini – who participated in the Paris Olympics, was stopped due to an injury and recently returned to competing – obtaining the highest score in the category park of the STU, released a statement on the tournament:

” – Happy now that we pass the drums and look back, it’s a “great satisfaction” to be able to make these notes, to be able to fit into the groove. But that wasn’t what I was commenting there, the focus is not on the note, the ‘attention is total on the skate… my attention is not looking at the notes, in fact I am very happy, above all, to have managed to skate this drum, get the tricks that I know I wanted to feel right on top of the skateboard” – said the native of Curitiba.
