He’s back on our screens ready to protect all, even the worst villains in Los Angeles. Netflix released the third season of The Lincoln Defense a few days ago, which is already at the top of the most watched titles on the streaming platform. The surprise success of 2022, this legit series confirms its status as a fan favorite. It must be said that the adventures of lawyer Mickey Haller (Manuel GarcĂa-Rulfo) are never easy.
Season 3 is full of perils
The third season of The Lincoln Defense is no exception. In these new episodes, he must investigate the death of Glory Dace, the prostitute he protected two years ago. We quickly learn that he and his team will pay the consequences of their actions and that they will fight against a corrupt system.
The series is slightly more violent in this 3rd season. If Mickey is used to taking all the hits, his loved ones will pay the price too… The audience risks being shocked by all the twists and turns. A situation and an ending that allows the series to take an unexpected direction.
The screenwriters chose to adapt the 5th volume of the literary collection, which centers on a lawyer portrayed by Michael Connelly. Titled “Gods of Judgment” (just like the last episode of the season), this novel sees our hero embark on the most dangerous investigation of his career.
A fourth season of the same caliber?
(WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH SPOILS WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF MIKE’S SEASON 3)
If Netflix hasn’t announced a Season 4 for The Lincoln Defense yet, the final episode ends on a cliffhanger we haven’t seen. After celebrating his client’s release, Mickey is arrested by a police officer who finds a body in his trunk. We quickly learn that he has been trapped and we know by whom.
If there is a 4th season, it will adapt the 6th volume called “Innocence and the Law”, the synopsis of which is here:
Mickey Haller, out drinking to celebrate his court victory, was arrested for not having a license plate. But when he opened the trunk of Haller’s car, the officer found a body inside. That of a con man who was repeatedly defended by a lawyer until his client cheated him in turn.
Accused of murder and unable to post $5 million bail, Haller is immediately arrested and faces the prosecutor who wants his life, Dana Berg. He understands that he was created – but by whom and why? – and will decide to defend himself during the trial. It’s not easy when, in addition to being in prison and therefore the target of abuse, he’s the victim of a scheme that will be difficult to unravel…
In short, we are already looking forward to it.
