For those who thought the franchise was down, Daryl Dixon’s new episode just broke the record! In the fourth episode of The Walking Dead spin-off season 2, the hero played by Norman Reedus is reunited with his beloved Carol, played by Melissa McBride. But this reunion was overshadowed by a shocking and unexpected event that occurred during the same episode.
Carol’s return seems to have replaced the presence of what was considered the main character of the program. Thus, contrary to all expectations, this new episode sacrificed the character of Isabel played by Clemans Poesy. The latter was stabbed in the stomach by Losang (Joel de la Fuente), leaving him no chance to survive.
Another main character is killed in this episode
This episode was a turning point in more ways than one, as another main character was killed off. In order to establish Losange as the main antagonist of this season 2, the writers saw fit to eliminate the character of Marion Genet, played by Anna Charrier. The latter was killed by Carol with a syringe containing her “super zombie” serum.
There’s no doubt that this episode marks a fore and aft in the series’ chronology. Daryl has now lost what we’ll never know if it was just a flirtation, but he’s also managed to find his loyal ally who has been with him since the very first season of The Walking Dead. Now the tandem sets out to find Laurent before returning to his homeland.
Two episodes of season 2 still remain to air. We remind you that the 3rd season has already been ordered and its shooting has also started in Spain. Meanwhile, the first images of another spin-off Dead City (with Negan and Maggie) confirmed the program’s return in spring 2025.
