Nunes provokes Boulos on Marta Suplicy’s position in the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff

The mayor of SP recalled that Boulos’ deputy is in favor of the trial. The comments were made during a debate on Globo

Ricardo Nunes (MDB)mayor of São Paulo running for re-election, taunted his fellow candidate Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) on the positioning of Marta Suplicypsolist deputy in these elections, during a debate organized by TV Globo this Friday 25. According to Nunes, she “led” the trial against the former president.

“You might wonder how he conducted the impeachment trial of Dilma Rousseff,” Nunes said, when Boulos mentioned the vice president’s name on his ticket.

The comment was made during the second block of the TV Globo debate this Friday 25th, while the two were discussing health. Boulos questioned the supply of medicines in the capital’s Basic Health Units and said that the current director is a bad cook, since he has “time and money” and has not carried out a good mandate. So, he asked them to give him and his vice president a chance.

At this point Boulos asked Nunes if he thought Marta’s government (2001-2004) was bad. «Marta is also there. Did you think Martha’s government was bad?” he asked the current mayor.

Nunes, however, evaded the question and made the provocation about impeachment. Boulos immediately reacted with a grimace. Marta, who was Nunes’ secretary and left the post to become the psolist’s deputy, was a member of the PT for more than three decades but left in 2015 to join the MDB. The following year, in 2016, he voted in favor of Dilma’s impeachment.
