Halloween is fast approaching and Netflix is adding a lot of horror movies to its catalog, be it original works, genre classics or very popular movies.
Netflix has just released a horror thriller produced by Sam Raimi, one of the masters of horror, known for the Evil Dead franchise, The Grudge, 30 Days of Night, To Hell, but also the Spider-Man trilogy.
Written by TJ Cimfel (V/H/S Viral) and David White (Intruders) and directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Neto (Intruders), Don’t Move is a thrilling feature film that promises a unique experience based on an original plot and ingenious staging.
Don’t Move should give you a cold sweat because it is a survival game in which the heroine will face many obstacles that block her way to freedom and life.
A fascinating concept thriller worth a detour for its cast
The film follows Iris, a young woman still grieving the death of her son Mateo after an accident for which she was responsible. One morning she decides to end her life by throwing herself off a forest cliff, but is stopped by a seemingly charming man who calls himself Richard. He explains that he also lost someone close to him, Chloe, his high school sweetheart, in a car accident.
After a long discussion, the two return to the edge of the forest to find their cars and say their goodbyes. But “Richard” reveals his true colors as a serial killer and injects him with a paralyzing agent that takes effect after about twenty minutes.

Because the performances of Kelsey Asbill (Yellowstone) with impressive precision, subtlety and sensitivity and Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) are worth the detour Don’t Move because they support the psychological tone of this horror thriller. and different power dynamics between genders in their interactions with each other and with outsiders.
As in any self-respecting survival thriller, the heroine is not going to give up and the film is going to set up many situations where she almost manages to escape before a rather simplistic but convincing finale and all of these types at one perfect time.
