Netflix released, this Friday (1st), the first image of Barry Keoghanfrom Eternals (2021) and Saltburn (2023), in the film Peaky Blinderswhich will continue the story presented in the series aired between 2013 and 2022.
The actor is one of the new additions to the cast of the new film, which is already in production, but does not yet have a release date. What else do we know about the film? Peaky Blinders?
According to the Variety, Murphy will also serve as producer of the film Peaky Blinderswhile Tom Harperwho has already directed episodes of the series and, recently, directed Agent Stone (2023), also from Netflix, will lead the news:
“It seems like Tommy Shelby it didn’t end with me… It’s very gratifying to collaborate with Steve Knight [criador da série] and Tom Harper in the film version of Peaky Blinders. This one’s for the fans”declared the actor in a press release.
Harper also commented on the news: “When I drove Peaky Blinders For the first time over 10 years ago, we didn’t know what the series would become, but we knew there was something about the alchemy of the cast and the writing that felt explosive.”he said.
“Peaky has always been a story about family – and so it’s incredibly exciting to reunite with Steve and Cillian to bring the film to audiences around the world on Netflix”added the filmmaker.
What is it about Peaky Blinders?
According to the official synopsis of the series, Peaky Blindersaddresses the day-to-day life of a notorious gang from 1919 England, which rises in the criminal underworld led by the cruel Tommy Shelbya criminal willing to get ahead at any price.
