Eight years after La French, filmmaker Cédric Jiménez (Bac Nord, In All Eyes) reunites with Jean Dujardin for a film centered on a horrific true story: the attacks of November 13, 2015.

Coming to theaters in 2022, this harrowing feature film titled November dives into the heart of counterterrorism during the five days of investigation that followed that night of horror. And the screen personification of the investigators (which existed), the casting choice fell Jean DujardinSandrine Kiberlen, Anais Demostier, and Jeremy Renier.

A risky but successful film

before its theatrical release, November from Cedric Jimenez Criticism was divided from the start, as many French opposed the November 13 attacks.

But for screenwriter Olivier Demangel, it was obvious to adapt this night of horror to the screen (but only behind the camera), unlike Revoir Paris, with Alice Winokur, who tackled the same subject opposite.

This is exactly what convinced him Cedric Jimenez who still did not want to make a film about the attacks before reading the script, as he stated in an interview: “I find it excessive, really obscene… If I had read the slightest effect in that sense, I would never have made the film.”

He listened well, because the film was nominated seven times at the César and once at the Cannes Film Festival.
