SIMILARITY WITH THE WEEDS SERIES
During an article written for Newsweek in 2012, Gilligan explained how he felt when all of his work on Breaking Bad almost went down the drain when he first tried to sell it. According to him, during a meeting with an unknown television network, the president of the company was reluctant to acquire the series due to an alleged similarity with Weedscausing great discouragement to the showrunner.
