Stranger Things 5: Creators’ promise for the end of the Netflix series

Warning, spoilers. It is advisable to be updated about the Stranger Things series before you continue reading this article.

Ever since Stranger Things Season 2, fans of the Netflix series have grown accustomed to discovering new characters with each burst of episodes. In season 4, the public got to know and love such colorful personalities as Bobby (Sean Astin), Max (Sadie Sink), Billy (Decre Montgomery) or even Eddie (Joseph Quinn).

The problem is that most of the new characters introduced in the seasons of Stranger Things have the misfortune of disappearing and dying in excruciating pain. An unfortunate trend that fans are starting to criticize and even more so after the death of Eddie, who quickly became a favorite and one that the public wants to see.

Will that be the case for Season 5 of the Netflix series? Creators Matt and Ross Duffer understood this problem well and answered the question during the show “Aftershow” On the platform that returned to Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2.

When asked how they manage to handle all of the main characters’ storylines in addition to new character arcs, Matt Duffer said: “We’re done with this. We won’t be adding any characters in Season 5. That’s a promise.”

That’s why there won’t be any new characters in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. Matt Duffer’s answer seems logical since these final episodes will take place entirely in Hawkins, now that everyone is gathered for the big battle against Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

So we need to use Season 5 of Stranger Things to close the loop if we want to believe his words Collider : “Season 4 was interesting for us because everyone was spread out. This is what makes this season unique. Now that they’re back together, we’re going to explore the dynamics of Season 1 again, but on a larger scale.”

The Duffer brothers will begin writing the final season of the Netflix series in August, which we won’t be able to discover on the platform until 2024.
