This weekend, a beloved celebrity celebrated her birthday and it was none other than Will Ferrell. The comedy veteran turned 55 on Saturday, and his special day was greeted with a host of warm and hilarious giveaways from fans on social media. Of course, some of his famous friends also went to the site to wish him luck, including his own Energetic co-star, Ryan Reynolds. The ever witty Reynolds had a particularly special message, and Stepbrothers fans will love it.
Ryan Reynolds shared his birthday tribute through a TIC Tac video, which presents the music of “Por Ti Volaré”. Stepbrothers fans will surely know that Andrea Bocelli’s classic melody played a central role in the 2008 comedy. The video makes it appear that Ryan Reynolds will sing a version of the song himself. However, the actor never says a word, as he doesn’t seem to know when to intervene. Check out the A + birthday greeting below:

leave it to dead Pool star to find the perfect way to pay tribute to his friend and co-star. To be honest, I would have liked to have heard the star give her interpretation of the Italian song. But again, God forbid the embarrassment present in the clip as it is. And let’s be honest, apart from Andrea Bocelli himself, someone can really overtake Live Saturday night Adam McKay’s veteran film performance?
In Stepbrothers, Will Ferrell’s Brennan performs a Spanish-translated version of “For You I’ll Fly” at an event that takes place towards the end of the film. The character is encouraged to do so after the cover band lead singer who was hired gets angry and is kicked out. Backed up by John C. Reilly’s Dale on drums, Brennan manages to perfectly realize the song, so much so that his antagonist brother, Derek (Adam Scott), is moved and reconciled with him. Since the clue is so important in fan favorite movie, I’d say it’s perfect to use for a birthday wish.
Ryan Reynolds has an interesting story when it comes to sending birthday messages to other celebrities because their tone can vary. Reynolds was a little more sentimental when, Mark Ruffalo and others wished Chris Hemsworth a happy birthday Last year. But on the other hand, he absolutely dived into enemy friend Hugh Jackman for his birthday last fall. Then again, I guess we should have expected the same from the latter, given the playful nature of the relationship between Jackman and Reynolds.
This most recent post intrigued me about what Ryan Reynolds’ on-screen and off-screen dynamics will look like with Will Ferrell when they play together and push for Energetic. The film, which will be available in streaming with a AppleTV + subscription is configured to be a modern version of A Christmas carol. After Reynolds finished (before her acting break) the shared a first look at her Christmas movie with Ferrell . With two comedic powers in the cast, the film is sure to generate some quality laughs.
Until the movie is out later this year, honestly, I’ll be watching this hilarious birthday video a couple more times, before it inevitably comes out. Stepbrothers in. You can do the same by passing it with a Hulu subscription .
