Disney released, this Friday (8), during the first day of D23 Brasil, the final trailer for Mufasa: The Lion Kingprelude to the live-action The Lion Kingreleased in 2019. The novelty goes back to the past to tell the story of Mufasalived by Aaron Pierre (The Underground Railroad: The Paths to Freedom) in the new film.
The novelty counts on the returns of Donald Glover (Mr. & Mrs. Smith) and the singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Simba and Nalarespectively. Furthermore, Blue Ivy Carterdaughter of Beyonce and Jay-Zdebuts as an actress giving voice to the daughter of the lions, Kiara.
Mufasa: The Lion King — which has a script Jeff Nathanson (Rush Hour 2), from the first film, songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda (In a New York Neighborhood, Moana: A Sea of Adventure) and direction of Barry Jenkins (Moonlight: Under the Moonlight) — premiered in December 19 in Brazilian cinemas.
