“Thor: Love and Thunder” maintained the box office lead in Brazilian cinemas for the second consecutive weekend, registering an audience of 825,000 and an income of R $ 17.7 million, according to Comscore figures.
“Minions 2: The Origin of Gru” also repeated the 2nd place, with 622,000 admissions and a collection of R $ 12 million, despite the recent debut of “Elvis”. With much smaller distribution, due to the monopolization of cinemas by the two previous titles, the musical about the king of rock was only the third most watched film, with 198,000 admissions.
The ranking also records “The Black Telephone” in 4th place. The detail is that the terror will only be officially released on Thursday (21/7). Its presence among the most viewed titles of the week only proves that distributors are not following their own calendars, making paid “previews” which, in practice, means an early conventional debut.
In all, 1.84 million people attended Brazilian cinemas between Thursday and Sunday (7/17), which generated over R $ 39 million at the box office.
