Now we only see him in action movies. Since the public discovered her in the Fast and Furious saga a few years ago, Gal Gadot has established herself as the queen of the genre, especially on streaming platforms.
The former Wonder Woman from DC actually headlined Netflix’s mega-blockbuster Red Notice – two sequels have also been announced – and Agent Stone, which was developed as a spy franchise.
Like the feeling of deja vu?
The Israeli actor is not going to stop here and proves it with his new project. according to termGal Gadot will soon star in the thriller The Runner, directed by Kevin MacDonald (Designated Guilty), the synopsis of which offers:
“To rescue a kidnapped son, a lawyer must follow the secret orders of a mysterious caller in central London.”
On paper, The Runner clearly reminds us of a Liam Neeson shoot – who in turn decided to stop making this type of film – with a feminine twist. The project currently has no other stars attached and no shooting date is known.
This thriller is produced by Amazon Studios, but its distribution method has not been specified. The feature film can be offered both in cinemas and for the Prime Video streaming platform (we will touch more on this second option).
While we wait for Gal Gadot to run through the streets of London to save her offspring, we’ll soon be able to find her in a completely different register: the live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, in which she plays… the Evil Queen (you can find the trailer above)!
