Last year, this sci-fi series created an event by seducing critics and the public. A true success on Apple TV+, this dystopian fiction, rated 4.2 out of 5, is considered one of the best futuristic series of the moment.

Adapted from the novels of Hugh Howe, Silo is the creation of Graham Yost (Band of Brothers, Band of Brothers: Pacific Inferno, Justified), which plunges us into a future where the Earth is destroyed because the air has become toxic.

The few survivors are trapped in a giant 144-story underground silo and live in a society that is bound by a series of very strict rules designed to protect them.

Citizens who break the law are sent outside the cabin, sentenced to death in the atmosphere they breathe there. However, slowly, the idea that leaders are lying about what is happening outside is gaining ground…

How did “Silo” season 1 end?

The Silo follows the journey of Juliet (Rebecca Ferguson), an engineer who works on the generators on the lowest level of the Silo. After the death of one of her friends, George, Juliet investigates the leaders of Silo and uncovers dark secrets.

In the last episode, Juliet is arrested before she reveals what she learned from the cryptic video recordings to the members of the silo. Bernard (Tim Robbins), head of IT at the silo, promises to tell the truth about George’s disappearance if he voluntarily leaves the silo.

Thus, he hopes to calm the upheavals and upheavals of society by having Juliet leave. The residents believe that he is sacrificing himself, because everyone who came out of the silo died due to the poisoned air and sabotage suits.

Juliet emerges from the silo wearing the famous special suit and helmet, which shows her a video of a lush landscape, which is actually a hoax.

Thanks to the help of Martha, who secures her suit with duct tape that prevents the passage of air, Juliet does not die when exiting the crater surrounding the silo, and she is able to quickly escape and discover the reality of the destroyed world.

Season 2, which promises to be explosive

Highly anticipated by fans, Silo Season 2 will soon land on Apple TV+ and promises to be explosive and terrifying if the official trailer is anything to go by.

The heroine from the silo, played by Rebecca Ferguson, is presumed dead, but the engineer is very much alive. He then becomes a figure of hope and leads a rebellion in search of truth and a better future for those living in Silo.

The trailer states that Juliet will still have to fight and face many high-ranking enemies, and above all, she is still far from knowing the full truth about Silos and what it really hides.

The rest of the cast includes Tim Robbins, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinasa Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Iain Glenn and Steve Zahn. The second season of Silo will air from November 15.
