Nothing better than taking advantage of your free time to binge a good series, right? Mainly on weekends. However, some productions have a very large number of seasons and episodes, which can discourage viewers a little.
However, fans of horror stories can rest assured: there are many series available on popular streams, which only have a few chapters, and can easily be finished in a weekend.
We have prepared a list of some of the best horror or suspense series, which can be watched in one sitting. Check it out below and enjoy!
1- Behind your eyes (2020)
The story is about Louise, played by Simona Brown, a single mother who ends up getting involved in an extramarital affair with her boss. At the same time, the young woman makes friends with her wife and a series of events follow one another.
Created by Steve Lightfoot, the series has six episodes and is available on Netflix.
2- Swarm (2023)

Inspired by singer BeyoncĂ©, the production is about Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman totally obsessed with pop star Ni’jah (Nirine S. Brown). When Dre’s passion goes beyond limits, she and Ni’jah begin to face harsh consequences.
The series was created by Donald Glover, of Atlanta, and has seven episodes available on Amazon Prime Video.
3- Midnight Mass (2021)

The series tells the story of Riley Finn, who returns to Crockett Island after years of being away, hiding secrets about her past. His life becomes complicated with the arrival of Paul, a new popular priest who threatens to reveal his secrets. The duo is played by Zach Gilford and Hamish Linklater.
The production was created by Mike Flanagan, has seven episodes and is available on Netflix.
4- The outsider (2020)

Terry Maitland (Jason Bateman) is a baseball coach loved by his community and his two daughters. However, the man’s life turns into chaos when he becomes the main suspect in the murder of an 11-year-old boy.
Based on the book of the same name by horror master Stephen King, the series was created by Richard Price and has 10 episodes available on Max.
5- The Fall of the House Usher (2023)

Inspired by the novel by Edgar Allan Poe, the production tells of siblings Roderick and Madeline, heirs to the Usher empire and known for the life of luxury and power provided by the family pharmaceutical company. However, the two live isolated and sick, and everything gets worse when each of them mysteriously dies.
The series was also created by Mike Flanagan and has eight episodes available on Netflix.
6- Them (2021)

The Them series is one of those that is difficult to watch more than once. The first season tells the story of a black couple who move with their two daughters to an all-white neighborhood in Los Angeles in the 1950s, when racial segregation was still in force in the city. The family tries to survive in a hostile environment, while supernatural events threaten to reveal their secrets.
There are two seasons with different stories, created by Little Marvin and available on Amazon Prime Video.
7-Uzumaki (2024)

Uzumaki is inspired by Junji Ito’s horror manga, known for its disturbing and elaborate stories. The plot tells of a couple who seem to be immune to a disease that makes the entire population of the city where they live obsessed with spiral shapes, which appear everywhere.
Events take on surprising proportions over the course of its four episodes, directed by Hiroshi Nagahama and available on Max.
8- The haunting of Bly Manor (2020)

The production stars Victoria Pedretti and tells of nanny Dani Clayton, called to work in an ancient villa, taking care of two orphaned children. Everything is going well, until she starts having apparitions while her brothers start acting strangely.
Also created by Mike Flanagan, it only has nine episodes and is available on Netflix.
9-Dracula (2020)

This is a retelling of the story of Count Dracula, in which the character spreads terror across England during the 19th century by committing violent crimes. It stars Claes Dang, Dolly Wells and Morfydd Clark.
The creation is by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat and is available in three episodes on Netflix.
10- The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

The acclaimed series tells the story of five brothers growing up in Hill House, which is famous for being haunted. Once adults, they will need to find each other and relive the terrible past after the suicide of the youngest member of the group. The cast includes Victoria Pedretti, Kate Siegel and Henry Thomas.
This is the fourth Mike Flanagan creation on the list and a 10-episode season is available on Netflix.
