Woman found dead in condominium and son arrested in Rio de Janeiro


The Military Police were called by neighbors and the man was arrested for murder




A woman was found dead in the Bora Bora Condominium, in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on the afternoon of Sunday 17th.

She was identified as Marly Ferreira A. Paes, 63. The residents of the condominium called the Military Police to go to the scene, on Avenida Embaixador Abelardo Bueno. The victim’s son was arrested, suspected of having committed the murder against his mother.

Around 2pm the firefighters were called and the body was transported to the Medical-Legal Centre.

According to the Civil Police, the incident was registered at the Capital Homicide (DHC) Police Station. The perpetrator, the victim’s son, was arrested for murder and the case was taken to court. No information has been released on the possible motivation for the crime.
