Josh O’Connor will be in Steven Spielberg’s next film

Science fiction feature is scheduled for release in May 2026

Josh O’Connorknown for playing Prince Charles in The Crownwas announced as part of the cast of the upcoming film Steven Spielberg. The production, still without an official title, will also feature Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo and Eve Hewsonknown for works such as Bad Sisters and Flora and Son. The film will be released by Universal Pictures in the United States on May 15, 2026.

The film’s script is written by David KoeppSpielberg’s frequent collaborator, with whom he has worked on hits such as Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds. The production will be based on an original story by Spielberg and will include science fiction elements, although specific details about the plot have not yet been released. Kristie Macosko KriegerSpielberg’s partner in films such as AI – Artificial Intelligence and Love, Sublime Lovewill be the producer.

Spielberg, one of the most successful directors in the history of cinema, has a history of landmark works, such as Shark, ET and franchises Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park.
