The broadcaster holds a meeting with the clubs that are part of the Liga Forte União and will have the right to broadcast their matches of the Brazilian championship
Record has promoted a meeting between its board of directors and most of the clubs that make up the Liga Forte União (LFU). The aim was to show their coverage planning for the next edition of the Brazilian Championship.
According to what was reported in the “f5” column of the newspaper “Folha de S. Paulo”, managers of clubs such as Corinthians, Fluminense, Fortaleza and Vasco were present at the meeting. The broadcaster has announced that it will not have a daily sports programme. There will indeed be some sports blocks inside the “Balanço Geral”, your lunchtime attraction.
By the way, Record has announced the professionals who will work on the broadcast of the matches. Namely: Cléber Machado, Paloma Tocci, Maurício Noriega, Dodô, Lucas Pereira, Duda Gonçalves, Bruno Piccinato, Jean Brandão, Bruno Laurence, Sálvio Spínola and Alexandre Oliveira.
In some of these cases, the contract was signed only this week. Bruno Laurance and the presenter Paloma Tocci, present at Band, fit into this scenario. The professional has signed a three-year contract, i.e. until the end of 2027.
A successful situation presented to the club representatives concerns the commercial prosperity of Serie A. Record has in fact already sold advertising packages for advertising contracts to seven sponsors. One of the highlights is the agreement with Magalu, who has not shown his mark in football since the 2015 edition of the Série A.
Record signals openness to receiving nominations for its coverage
The broadcaster has made a point of telling clubs that it is open to dialogue on any suggestions, with recommendations to help improve coverage over the seasons where this is possible. Last Monday’s meeting (18th) therefore succeeded in its objective, favoring rapprochement between the parties.
The matches will be broadcast on Record on Wednesday evenings, at 8pm, and on Sunday evenings, at 6.30pm. The next edition of the Série A will not be the only tournament that Edir Macedo’s channel will have the right to broadcast. After all, he still has the Campeonato Paulista 2025 in his exhibition portfolio. The broadcaster reached an agreement and managed to extend the connection until the end of 2029.
The Liga Forte União includes clubs such as Athetico-PR, Atlético-GO, Botafogo, Corinthians, Cuiabá, Criciúma, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Internacional, Juventude and Vasco. In addition to Goiás, Sport, Ceará, Avaí, Chapecoense, Coritiba, CRB, Vila Nova, Londrina, Tombense, Figueirense, CSA and Operário-PR, from the lower divisions.
