Christopher Nolan already has in mind what his next film work will be after the acclaimed “Oppenheimer”, which earned him the Oscar for best director. However, the director’s new project has so far generated great anticipation and mystery.
The latest information says that Robert Pattinson will reunite with the director. The actor, who was the protagonist of Principle (2020), a sci-fi thriller from Nolan, now joins a stellar cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya.
Nolan is responsible for writing and directing the project, which will be distributed by Universal Pictures, with a premiere scheduled for July 17, 2026.
Little is known about the plot yet
Pattinson worked alongside John David Washington in PrincipleNolan’s final film for Warner Bros. The release came during the COVID-19 pandemic, amid tensions with the studio, which wanted to release the film on its streaming service (HBO Go at the time).
Despite grossing $58.5 million domestically and $365 million globally, the film ultimately marked the end of Nolan’s partnership with Warner Bros.
Additionally, Pattinson is expected to reprise his role as Batman in the sequel directed by Matt Reeves. Although there is an expectation that filming could take place next year, there are no concrete plans in this regard yet.
