After the biggest American success of the year, its prequel series is available for streaming

With a box office run of 8.4 million in France, it is the biggest American hit in French cinemas. Almost 10 years after the popular first installment, the colorful emotions of Vice-Versa returned to the cinema to delight young and old in a sequel that won over the public and critics.

The Vice-Versa franchise doesn’t stop there, as Pixar and Disney will soon launch a spin-off series on the Disney+ platform. Titled Rêves Productions: du monde de Vice-Versa, this 4-episode spin-off written and directed by Mike Jones takes place between Vice-Versa and Vice-Versa 2.

How dreams are made “opposite” of the world.

Disney+ has released a trailer for this mockumentary, voiced by Joey (Amy Poehler), which follows heroine Riley (Kensington Tallman) from childhood to adulthood.

We are promised a funny and moving immersion in his dreams, created, written and directed by a polite and creative team working in Hollywood studios. As Riley grows up, her memories require a more subtle handling than Joy and the other emotions entrusted to Rêves Productions.

At the head of this “company”, the star director of this department, Paula Persimmon (Paula Pell), must face the main challenge: to create a young girl’s next big dream.

But teamed up with the vain Xen (Richard Ayoade), a director of daydreams who wants to penetrate the world of night dreams, the task does not seem easy…

Obviously, along with joy, other basic emotions are represented: disgust (Lisa Lapira), fear (Tony Hale), anger (Lewis Black) and sadness (Phyllis Smith).

Because Rêves Productions is located between two opposite parts, the emotions of the “teenager” such as anxiety, embarrassment, boredom and desire are not yet represented. If they do not appear at the end of the program!

This spin-off series should appeal to many fans of the Vice-Versa universe, and the good news is that they won’t have to wait long before they can discover it. Rêves Productions will be available December 11 exclusively on Disney+.
