BYD will “fix” the suspension of the Dolphin Mini

One of the important questions we asked BYD during our trip to China concerned the products that will soon roll off the brand’s assembly line at the Camaçari (Bahia) factory: yes, that of Ford.

It is worth mentioning that the first car left the factory it will be the Song Pro SUV. But it is important to underline that the Dolphin and Dolphin Mini combination will also be national. And BYD intends to iron out the details in both cases.

Dolphin Mini: new suspensions

The first tweak we will report here will concern the Dolphin Mini. According to sources linked to the brand, many customers turned to the company to talk about the suspension, which did not seem so suitable for our roads.

Confirmed: the Brazilian Dolphin Mini will be equipped with new suspensions, which according to the brand will be more prepared to deal with our roads and our type of asphalt. Even so, it’s worth noting that the company is keen to clarify that this feature “does not compromise the safety of the current model.”

And that’s not all: The domestic Dolphin Mini will also include an induction mobile phone charger and new wheels in the equipment package. The four- and five-seater versions will continue to be offered.

The Dolphin Mini produced in Camaçari should appear during the next year.

What changes in Dolphin

The compact hatch will also receive changes, but according to BYD executives, the touches will be more aesthetic, almost like a facelift.

New headlights, bumper details (front and rear) and new wheels are expected in the update, although the mechanical sets offered by the model are expected to remain the same.

As in the case of the Dolphin Mini, the national Dolphin is also expected to appear around mid-2025.
