The Witcher: Henry Cavill Talks About His Replacement Actor And His Words Will Surprise Fans

In the eyes of the fans, the die is already made. No matter the quality of The Witcher season four, Geralt of Rivia’s new interpreter will never get along with Henry Cavill. The actor left the show after three seasons due to disagreements with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hisrich. Therefore, Liam Hemsworth replaces him in season 4.

Chris Hemsworth’s little brother recently said that he quit social media because the hostile messages sent towards him affected his concentration and preparation for the role. However, Geralt’s new translator could rely on the support of his partners, Freya Allan (Ciri) and Anna Chalotra (Yennefer).

Respect between Geralt’s two translators

But what does Henry Cavill think of his replacement? If Geralt’s former interpreter has remained rather low-key since his departure from the series, he still showed a great deal of class with a public tribute to Liam Hemsworth. In a message published on his social network, Cavill especially wished “fantastic” Successor Success:

“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been full of both monsters and adventure, and alas, I’ll be putting away my medallion and swords for Season 4. In my place, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will take up the mantle of the White Wolf. I found the version Liam offers to be a fascinating and nuanced person.

Liam, my dear friend, this character has incredible depth – enjoy diving into it and discovering everything you can find there.”

We should not count on the English actor to help his successor. Liam Hemsworth is in no way responsible for the departure of his predecessor, and the latter has no reason to blame his replacement. So Henry Cavill fans better emulate their idol and give him a chance before judging his interpretation of the Wizard.

The fourth season of The Witcher can be seen on October 30th exclusively on Netflix.
