After more than two months of negotiations, the Sao Paulo club paid 800 thousand euros in cash for the goalkeeper’s stay
End of the telenovela between Corinthians and Flamengo by Hugo Souza. After more than two months of negotiations and some conflicts between the parties, the Sao Paulo club paid 800 thousand euros in cash to Rubro-Negro on Tuesday (26) for the goalkeeper.
In total, Alvinegro invested R$7.3 million for 50% of the archer’s economic rights. This amount includes R$1 million related to the loan, R$1.5 million in fines for the three matches in which the player faced Flamengo while on loan and, finally, R$4.8 million for the acquisition of part of the athlete’s economic rights.
There may however be an increase in this value, as the club will have to cover the taxes and commissions involved in the negotiation. Flamengo continues to hold 40% of the player’s economic rights. With the positive outcome, Hugo Souza will sign a four-year contract with Corinthians. The information on the agreement comes from journalist Mauro Cezar Pereira.
Summary of the novel
Corinthians paid 200 thousand euros to Flamengo to have Hugo Souza until the end of this season. Timão, however, was trying to have the athlete permanently and, therefore, had to pay 800 thousand euros by November 30th. Recently, for the second time, Rubro-Negro rejected the bank that Alvinegro had presented as a guarantee for the purchase of the athlete.
