Born in Piracicaba, São Paulo, Clécio is unemployed after working for four decades in the same company. Although he did not reach the final prize, he had notable participation in the program.
“You demonstrated your knowledge (…). You are the Brazil I believe in, congratulations (…). It was beautiful”, praised Luciano Huck, impressed by Clécio’s confidence in answering a series of difficult questions.
Accompanied by his daughter, Patrícia Mello, who enrolled him in the council, Clécio showed a lot of determination.
Having no further help available, he chose not to answer the last question, which concerned the year and place where the first photograph in history was taken.
“I don’t even know the country let alone the year, so I think it would be reckless of me. It’s a shot that I think only Pelé could hit,” the participant joked.
Despite the decision, Clécio expressed satisfaction with the result obtained: “I have worked 40 years and I have never seen a sum of money like this,” he declared.
