FIFA has defined the brackets and the respective procedures for the draw of the matches Super Club World Cup, which will take place next Thursday (5), at 3pm (Brasilia time), in Miami, one of the 11 venues of the tournament in the United States. The information comes from “Cazé TV”, FIFA’s partner broadcaster in Brazil. The competition, which will be played every four years, will take place from 15 June to 13 July 2025, featuring 32 clubs.

Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense, champions of the Libertadores in 2021, 2022 and 2023, will be seeded and will therefore belong to pot 1. In addition to them there are River Plate (classified via ranking), Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Conmebol asked FIFA for the winners of the continental tournament to be seeded in the draw, but the request was partially granted. Thus, Botafogo, the fourth Brazilian representative in the World Super Cup, will be in pot 3 together with Neymar’s Boca Juniors and Al-Hilal.

Pot 2 is made up exclusively of European clubs, while Pot 4 will have representatives from Asia, Africa, Oceania and North, Central and Caribbean America, including Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, nominated by the United United, host country.

The teams will be divided into eight groups of four members each, they will face each other within the group and the best two will qualify for the direct elimination phase. The direct elimination phase will be a single match. There will be no competition for third place.
