Work on London’s most expensive residential development is expected to be completed in 2026

The housing development believed to be the most expensive in London will have “homes” worth £35 million, the equivalent of approx R$ 268.4 million – a value that is 70 times the average cost of a house in the capital. In total, the work will cost £2 billion (R$15.3 billion). The information comes from the portal The standard.

Aimed at the super-rich, the work goes against the real estate crisis affecting England, particularly its capital. The average price of all units is approx 70 million pounds (R$536.8 million). Despite the high price, there are more than 600 wealthy potential buyers on the waiting list to secure a property in the complex.

The project in London is expected to be ready in 2026

The project is called 1 Mayfair. According to details obtained by the vehicle, the project managed by billionaire John Caudwell is expected to be completed in 2026, when it will complete six years of construction.

It is expected to overtake the Candy brothers’ One Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, which is currently London’s most expensive development, by £1.3 billion. In total, there will be 29 units: 24 principal residences, including apartments, penthouses and townhouses with up to five bedrooms, plus five smaller apartments.

The development is luxurious. The interior is rich in detail, with handmade paintings inspired by the works of Michelangelo. There will be 15 elevators, as well as two others designed for cars.

The project is expected to become a “timeless reference in terms of architecture, design and construction quality, setting a standard for London living and luxury design for centuries to come,” Caudwell told the outlet.
