The third adventure of the saga tells the quest of Will, Elizabeth and their companions to find Jack Sparrow, one of the lords of the court of brothers, who once united with his colleagues, will be able to stop the destructive armada he commanded. Lord Cutler Beckett.
The cut sequence is called Just Good Business (“Just a Good Deal”) and depicts a business discussion between Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander) and his prisoner Jack Sparrow. The four-minute clip shows how cunning and clever these two men are to achieve their goals in Beckett’s case or to protect themselves in Sparrow’s case:
As the scene begins, Beckett says: “I paid you to carry a load and you chose to let it go”. To which the captain of the Black Pearl succinctly answers: “People are not commodities, my friend”.
While it’s not surprising that a pirate values freedom, one might expect a sparrow to prefer gold. Thus, we discover that in his scheming, deceptive and manipulative aspects, Jack has embraced a much more noble cause, freeing people held against their will to be sold to the highest bidder.

This moment from Sparrow’s past is not mentioned again in the saga and is only seen in this deleted scene. The Captain’s past will be explored in more detail in Episode 5, Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge.
If the past of the sparrow has been described in detail in the cinema, its future is still unclear. On the one hand, Johnny Depp recently said that nothing would make him return for a new opus, and he was worried that he would not be able to say goodbye to his character. Meanwhile, rumors are rife, but neither the actor nor Disney have officially announced the joint decision.
